About Celia Fratianne, MSW, LSW
Therapist
Celia Fratianne brings a steady, thoughtful presence to her work as a therapist—someone who shows up fully, whether you’re in crisis or finding your way back to yourself. With a Master’s degree from Loyola University’s Graduate School of Social Work and years of experience walking alongside individuals and families facing loss, trauma, and transition, Celia has developed a style that is both grounded and flexible. She works with children, teens, and adults—especially LGBTQIA+ clients and those navigating ADHD, PTSD, or complicated family dynamics.
Celia doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, she listens carefully and draws from a mix of talk therapy, play therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to meet clients exactly where they are. Her work is rooted in the belief that every person and family is unique—and that their healing lies within the strengths they already have. Whether it’s a parent-child rupture, grief, or a need for reconnection, Celia holds space and offers compassionate, practical support.
“It's really special to walk with my clients through the hard parts, as well as celebrate the triumphs of life. Just being there for them, to sit with them, with whatever it is that they’re going through. I learn from my clients as they learn from me.”
—Celia Fratianne
Celia is committed to serving vulnerable communities that are often overlooked. She’s especially skilled at navigating complex family systems—from blended family challenges to communication breakdowns. She is professionally supervised by Kathleen E. Eccles, MSW, LCSW, C-ACYFSW, as the law requires for her licensure.
Outside of session, Celia is a painter and nature lover who finds balance in creative expression and time outdoors. Originally from rural Ohio, she now calls the Chicago area home and brings that same sense of rootedness to her work with clients at Thrive Therapeutic Services.
